We’re talking about discarded electrical and electronic appliances, or so-called WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). Just think of everything that has a cord or a plug or that runs on batteries. Electro-appliances include: mobile phones, hair dryers, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, refrigerators ... as well as TVs, laptops, smoke detectors, light fittings and even some light bulbs.
WEEE are hazardous waste products that should not stay in the attic, the cellar, or the garage. And most importantly: they should not be put out into our environment.
The best – and only – solution is for everyone to recycle for a better world. Which you do by taking the discarded appliances to the proper place.
Recupel has perfected the system for collecting WEEE, whereby we work closely with container parks, recycling centres and shops. This way, we guarantee that the recycling – including collecting, dismantling and processing – of your appliances is performed under environment-friendly conditions and according to the rules of the waste matter legislation.
Does the Recupel system work well? Yes, indeed – as the rising results show. And that’s largely due to the fact that you take your own environmental responsibility to heart.
(All of the appliances for which a Recupel contribution is charged are listed in the product lists)
