What is Recupel?
Recupel collects and processes used light bulbs and electrical and electronic appliances. By promoting repairs and reuse, as well as facilitating recycling, Recupel is helping to reduce the consumption of energy and raw materials.
What does this job entail?
You will have a sustainable impact in the medical and lab sectors. How? You will hit the road to persuade professionals to dispose of their electrical and electronic appliances appropriately or to report them correctly if they could, for example, have a second life abroad.
You will therefore look to establish new Recupel collection points and offer them the necessary support. You will build up a professional network within the medical sector and (clinical and industrial) laboratories sector, where you will actively seek out those responsible for electrical and electronic waste. You will identify the most important decision-makers in your target group and map their profiles. You will then approach them, learn about their internal processes and waste streams and, using your substantial powers of persuasion, come up with a situation that is a win-win for all parties. Finally, you will help major hospitals, universities, labs, care institutions and other professional institutions to attain their sustainability goals more easily.
What will your tasks be?
- You will take the lead on setting up new collaborative arrangements with producers, distributors and users of medical equipment and lab and measurement devices.
- Your objective: to ensure that more equipment and devices are correctly collected for reuse and recycling.
- You will develop an action plan, proactively approach potential partners, and represent Recupel at relevant events.
- You will listen to, analyse and understand our partners’ needs, and will be ready to offer expert advice.
- You will develop contacts and form a professional relationship of trust with decision-makers.
- You will work closely with various departments at Recupel and provide an open information stream and concrete solutions.
- You will report to the Marketing Manager.
Your profile
- You are enthusiastic, entrepreneurial and able to communicate clearly, openly and in a customer-oriented manner in English, Dutch and French.
- You enjoy variety and significant responsibility. You dare to think outside the box and look for solutions.
- You are willing to find your way in (to you unfamiliar) organisations and are able to open doors to higher levels, when necessary.
- Analysing market data, figuring out processes, spotting opportunities and taking the appropriate actions are challenges that you are keen to take on.
- Most of all, you like to take the initiative and are prepared to roll up your sleeves.
- Experience in the medical sector and/or lab sector is an asset.
