Declarations

1.1   Where can I find the Recupel list of appliances?

All electr(on)ic appliances to which a Recupel contribution applies are listed in the appliances list. They can be consulted at the web page . On the second page of the appliances list, you will find all information about the use of the list. The appliances lists of previous years can also be consulted on the web page mentioned above.

1.2   When are the Recupel contributions changed?

Recupel's contributions are reviewed annually and modified if necessary, as of July 1st. Recupel informs its members in January of the year in order to give them time to make the necessary accountig or IT adjustments. The new Recupel appliances list is officially published on July 1st of each year on the Recupel website (https://www.recupel.be/en/history/#).

1.3   How can I submit a product question?

You can submit a product request if, after consulting the list of appliances, you are still not sure of the corresponding Recupel contribution. This can be done on this web page. Make sure to complete the screens in red and be as clear as possible in your description.  

1.4   I do not have a password for the declaration application?

You can retrieve your password for the declaration application based on your user name. This can be done on this web page. You will then receive an e-mail with your new password. 

1.5   I do not have a username for the declaration application?

If your username is not known, please choose "FORGOT USER NAME" and enter your email address. You will receive an e-mail with your username. Then return to the web page to request a new password, enter your username and click on "SUBMIT".

1.6   How can I register my data in the declaration application?

You can enter your registered head office, exploitation or invoice address in the declaration application. If you are logged in, you can enter your details. Click on the "member info" tab at the top of the page and then choose "locations" on the left side of the screen. The screen that opens displays "add new record" at the bottom, click on it and adjust your details and click on "update". The new address will be included in the list of registered locations. Select the created address and click on "submit" to register the change.

1.7   How can I change my address details in the declaration application?

You can change your registered head office, exploitation or invoice address in the declaration application. If you are logged in, you can change the address details. To do this, click on the tab "member info" at the top of the page and then choose "locations" on the left side of the screen. The screen that opens displays all your addresses. You can edit them with the "Edit" button. Enter your current address details and click on "submit" to register the change.

1.8   How can I change my contact details in the declaration application?

If you want to change your company's contact details in the declaration application, go to the "member info" tab at the top and click on "contacts". In the window that opens, you can modify the existing data. You can add a new contact by clicking on "Add new record" at the bottom left of the page. Fill in the necessary information on the window that opens and click on "update".  The new contact will be included in the list of registered contacts. Select the created contact and click on "submit" to save the changes. A new contact has been created and you will receive a username and an activation link by email to create a new password. You can only create and save one contact per profile.

1.11   How can I activate a product category for the past?

If a new product category is activated for the past (retroactivity), the declarations that need to be changed will have the status "to be regularized" in the declarations overview. These declarations must first be completed and submitted before the current quarter's declaration can be submitted. 

1.12   Who can submit a declaration?

Only the person responsible for the declaration (called "filling responsible") of a company can submit a declaration via the declaration system. If you are registered as an invoice or company responsible person, you can consult your declarations and invoices. However, you cannot submit declarations in this role.

1.13   What is the minimum amount invoiced for professional equipment?

Since 2012, Recupel uses a minimum contribution for professional electrical and electronic equipment imported on the market (product categories where the number after the point starts with 50 or more). The cost of the minimum amount invoiced for the professionnal appliances is 100 euros (excluding VAT). 

1.14   When do I get an invoice with a minimum amount?

The minimum contribution of € 100 (excluding VAT) is applied for every calendar year if at least one professional appliance (see Recupel list of appliances) is declared and the total amount declared does not exceed € 100 .

1.15   From whom or where does this minimum amount invoice come from?

The minimum contribution of € 100 (excluding VAT) has been approved by the branches and competent authorities concerned and is based on Article 5 of the Entry Agreement, which all members have signed.

1.16   What is covered by the minimum invoice?

The minimum invoice for administrative contributions covers the services (reporting by the regional authorities / monitoring of European legislation / dissemination of information) that Recupel offers for the put on market of professional electrical and electronic appliances. 

1.17   Why do I get a questionnaire in the declaration application?

In order to gain a better insight into the activity of its members, Recupel sends a short questionnaire once a year via the declaration application.  Based on the answers received, Recupel can draw up a declaration profile for its members. However, you must complete this questionnaire before you can submit the declaration.

1.18   I have other problems with the declaration application?

It may happen that the web page of the declaration system has not loaded correctly. In this case, you have to refresh the web page by clicking on "F5". Another possible cause of the problem can be that your Internet browser is no longer up-to-date. A possible solution would be to force a "logout" by entering in the search bar the following url: "https://declarations.recupel.be/logout". 

1.19   How can I cancel my membership?

If you wish to terminate your membership with Recupel (termination of the business, merger, new VAT number, etc.), this must be done by letter or by sending an e-mail to declarations@recupel.be. Please clearly state the reason for the suspension of the company.
