Turn your construction site into a Recupel point

Doing some DIY, building or renovating?

You already have plenty on your plate. But among all the demolition, construction and packaging waste, you’ll also come across quite a lot of electrical waste. Think of old sockets, switches or lighting.

The solution? Set aside one clear spot on your construction site for all that electrical material. That way, you keep your site tidy and help make sure valuable raw materials don’t go to waste.

Not sure what to do with your electrical devices after the work is done?

Got a socket, lamp, power tool or another device left over after your work? Not everything needs to go straight to a collection point. Does it still work, can it be repaired, or is recycling the best option?

Search for your device and enter your location. Our tool will quickly help you find the right solution.

Convenient Recupel point. Electrical waste goes in.

Setting up a Recupel point on your construction site? You don’t need anything complicated. Simply turn something you already have available on hand into a temporary collection point.

An old sink, a rusty wheelbarrow, an old barrel… As long as everyone on site knows where the electrical and electronic waste belongs, you’re good to go. For example, collect your old:

  • sockets and power strips
  • switches
  • motion detectors
  • drivers and lighting components
  • fuses
  • other small electrical or electronic items

That way, everything ends up in one place instead of being scattered among other construction waste.

All done? Hand in your old electricals.

Finished your work, or is your Recupel point full? Then it’s time for the next step.

Take your discarded electricals to a suitable Recupel collection point. Depending on the device, this could be a recycling centre, an electrical retailer, a DIY store or another collection point.

That way, you give your old electricals the chance of a new life.

Clean site. Clean planet.

What you hand in doesn’t simply go to waste. Together with our partners, we make sure discarded electrical and electronic equipment is processed correctly, and we recycle up to 90% of it.

This allows materials and valuable raw materials to be used again in new products. Good for your site, good for our resources and good for the circular economy.

An old socket may seem like just a small part. But if we collect them all correctly, all those small parts can make a big difference together.
