Let old appliances count again
An old mobile phone, vacuum cleaner or refrigerator may seem to have reached the end of its life, but it often still contains valuable raw materials.
Return your old electrical appliances free of charge at a collection point. They can then be given a second life or recycled into new materials.
At a second-hand shop
Is your appliance still in working order? If so, it may be suitable for a second life at a second-hand shop.
That way, you’re not only helping the environment but also giving someone else access to an affordable appliance.
At a Recupel point
You can find Recupel points all across Belgium. They are often located in supermarkets, electrical retailers and DIY stores, where you can return your old electrical appliances free of charge.
Buying a new appliance? The take-back obligation also applies, meaning the retailer must take back your old, similar appliance free of charge.
At a recycling centre
You can also return almost all electrical appliances free of charge at a recycling centre.
There, they are collected separately so that valuable raw materials can be recycled and hazardous substances can be processed safely.
At an authorised Recupel partner
For certain appliances or in specific situations, you can also take your appliance to an authorised Recupel partner.
